Anyone looking for films starring or made by Black people will be delighted by a new website recently launched by a Brooklyn woman.

The site contains an index of 250 films made between 1915 and 1979 that are available for free on streaming platforms.

The films either feature Black actors, were made by Black production teams or are geared towards a Black audience.

The website’s founder hopes to bring various strands of Black history and culture to the attention of a wider public.

The monthly updated archive should soon include films for rental. Worth watching.
