People with disabilities can find tailored physical exercise.
Meanwhile, a Dutch charity is installing multi-functional clubhouses at sports areas inside refugee camps. The buildings were designed by an architecture firm and are housed inside transportable shipping containers.
Inside are shelves with sports equipment, alongside WiFi hubs, power outlets and a fridge. Electricity comes through solar panels on the roof. The front side comprises a serving counter together with a screen for TV broadcasts.
The area outside the clubhouse can be covered and turned into a community space. Local residents run the buildings and receive a small salary, financed through donations and the sale of sports clothing.
Stateless people can find communities, too; shipping containers also make for good hotel rooms.Â
