Which is why a California-based startup is converting vans into mobile toilets which organisations can hire – with caregivers included.
Accessed by an electric ramp, the interiors afford privacy and space for wheelchair users to move freely or obtain help.
Alongside a toilet with a bidet, wash basin and shower is a long table which serves as an adult changing station. An electric hoist is also available.
Soon, wheelchair users get support more easily; swimming in the ocean is also a possibility.
