But now a Munich-based startup has developed a compact new machine that makes do without them. Two levers make it a breeze for users.
Push the horizontal one in and the grounds enter the portafilter. Compress the grounds and close the patented coffee-cooking unit by pulling the top lever. Push power and barista-style java is brewed within seconds.
When finished, the grounds are ejected by pulling the horizontal lever and pushing them into the drip tray using the top lever. Simple.
As for the used grounds, well, they can be used for all manner of things…
