Cue a charitable organisation dedicated to the preservation of Australia’s indigenous culture. With its fashion school the organisation supports people of the First Nations.
As part of Australian Fashion Week its members put together a unique performance featuring the best of First Nations talent.
The clothes were important, but so too was the message: they were presented by indigenous people only.
Australia is currently home to around 800,000 Aborigines, roughly 3% of the population. It’s time they felt at home in the fashion world.
