She rescues still edible supermarket food from the trash. Reducing food waste has enormous potential. Already apps match end-of-day produce with customers, or use AI to plan how food can be better deployed in canteens.
Still, technology isn’t always smart. Salvaged food is available from the founder’s pub, her beer garden and other locations.
Her team’s offer is geared towards all people, irrespective of social status. Payment is optional, with donations based on what visitors can afford.
Now that is smart.
