Light switches can be controlled remotely thanks to a ring, while some glasses correct blind spots in wearers’ field of vision.
All these innovations mean increased integration for people with specific disabilities. And now a Romanian startup is looking specifically at website access.
An app designed for businesses constantly monitors their websites for accessibility issues and makes recommendations – i.e. on the text or captions. Translation into foreign languages or converting text into speech can also be integrated.
A control panel for users, meanwhile, lets them adapt the website appearance to their individual needs. Be it font size, colour or contrast. They can even hide certain images or switch off animations and sound.
Another startup is looking after respectful online communication.
