The trading of biological waste between companies is good for the environment. But promoting the circular economy is just as important in the private sector.
Enter a Romanian non-profit startup and its marketplace, developed to reduce waste from everyday objects while doing good.
Participating partner firms provide their employees with the opportunity to sell used items to colleagues. Proceeds are donated in their entirety to a charitable organisation listed on the platform and chosen by the seller.
Each charity on the marketplace is vetted by the startup prior to inclusion and is obliged to document how donated funds above a certain amount are used.
Elsewhere, platforms reward employees for eating healthily, while recycled cuddly toys bring joy all over again.Â
