Upward liberation

Mobility

Tap water can be made lead-free using a simple filter.

Now, an Estonian startup has developed a wearable solution for those with allergies triggered by substances in the air. The team’s 300g device is worn around the neck.

Mini ventilators on the bottom absorb air, and 99.9% of pet hair, pollen, dust or mould contained within is captured by a HEPA-filter inside. Leaving clean air to stream upwards towards the mouth and nostrils.

The globally certified device, which has a battery life of nine hours, can be charged by USB. The HEPA filter, meanwhile, lasts for up to 200 hours.

Good to know: the right bike wheel or rucksack can also rid the air we breathe of harmful substances.
