It’s possible to save electricity while showering. But for a clear conscience, why not go further still?
A startup from England has designed a portable system that reuses shower water to wash clothes. A detachable water tank is placed on the shower floor like a mat.
Once full – typically after 2 minutes – it is reattached to the machine’s base. It filters water and reuses it for the 15-minute wash cycle.
The founders are currently looking for sponsors to establish their product in student halls of residence. The potential is big.
Students consume approximately 15,000 litres of water per person in the shower each year.
Those with lots of dirty clothes can find help here.
