Flowers and herbs can be used in many ways. Some are edible, others help to heal.
An IT specialist from Pune, India, realized the potential of dried leaves. The ones from the backyard of her apartment were burned, as is often done in India.
But leaves are biodegradable. Through chat groups, she found someone who composted the leaves to fertilize her garden.
Next, an Internet platform was created to connect those who have dry leaves with those who want them.
An IT engineer, for example, used the platform and composted the shredded leaves with biological waste in his empty apartment.
His reward: 1,000 kilograms of organic waste turned into 125 kilograms of valuable compost.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
