A Japanese startup is helping people see more clearly.
But for people with limited hearing, following conversations can be a challenge. A battery-free hearing aid would be helpful.
Now, a Boston-based startup is working on an alternative, creating glasses that use augmented reality to bring more clarity to conversations.
Two microphones integrated into the frames continuously record what the speaker is saying.
Once 90% of background noise has been filtered out, integrated software converts speech into text, projecting the words directly onto the inside of the lens. Needing no accompanying app, no Wifi and no connection to the Cloud.
The glasses are also available with optical lenses. Perhaps the frames could be made from coffee grounds?
