Thanks to an app, people with Parkinson’s can navigate the internet more easily. But for some older people, smartphones, tablets and video calls remain a closed book.
Enter a Munich-based startup and its simple solution. It consists of a stand, where a tablet is docked and, a board with a control button and small tray for smart cards.
Each card is pre-programmed for a specific application like video call or calendar. It’s automatically activated by near-field communication radio signals on the tablet once in place.
Family members or friends personalise the function in an accompanying app, with photo albums or films accessed by a single touch of the control button.
Perfectly paired with a favourite playlist or two.
