Look no further than this England-based startup, which is using sheep’s wool to produce chairs. The team realised that fewer and fewer carpets were being made from the wool of two common UK breeds.
Too good to be the waste product of sheep farming, the team mixed the wool in equal parts with bio-resin – sourced from wood pulp or the waste generated from biofuel production.
The seat shells have an individual marble effect, and are mounted on steel frames.
The outer shell of cocoa beans makes for excellent furniture too; while in Scotland they’re leaving it to the hard stuff.
