Now a French startup is offering a simpler way to test our ability to drive. Its chip-like device fits easily onto a key ring.
One touch of a button and its patented sensors detect alcohol indicators present on users’ skin, which are used to give a reading.
A ring-shaped light shows green for a blood-alcohol level of under 0.2 per mille; orange for between 0.2 and 0.5; and red for anything above 0.5. The rechargeable battery allows up to 100 tests while an app records data.
