These days it’s easy to travel light.
But as a Latvian startup has shown with its mini goods vehicle for urban environments, it isn’t always about getting away.
Having started life as an off-road skateboard, the team’s new four-wheeled cargo scooter has a storage compartment – with or without a lid – placed in front of the handlebars.
Allowing transportation of objects or goods weighing up to 120kg. Running costs come in at around €1 per 100km.
Alongside bike lane deliveries, the mini EV can also be used to empty waste bins or transport materials for cleaning or forestry work. Or make logistics in, say, hospital complexes easier to manage.
In Seville, meanwhile, other EVs are enabling efficient last mile delivery.
