With their sustainable lifestyles, more and more Hollywood stars are taking their status as role models seriously.
The German Football Association (DFB), meanwhile, recently published guidance for 3rd division fans on environmentally-friendly matchday travel.
But that’s bottling it compared to England, where the EFL has joined forces with a new environmental accreditation body aimed at lowering clubs’ CO2 footprint.
The latter shares knowledge and suggestions based on its experiences with a club recently crowned the greenest in football.
The EFL will provide financial support to its 72 members. Measures undertaken will then be assessed and accredited accordingly.
The EFL trust, the association’s charitable wing, will provide incentives for clubs to hire sustainability representatives.
