Gently removed

Whether in our gardens or out in the fields, they are always an unwelcome guest.

Weeds. Snatching water and nutrients away from a farmer’s crop.

Now a startup from Seattle is taking action to prevent the use of pesticides that cause damage to our health and surrounding environment.

They developed a robot that combines artificial intelligence, laser modules and autonomous navigation. The machine moves independently through the affected field, identifying weeds and removing them with the heat of its high-performance laser.

Up to 100,000 plants can be eliminated inside an hour. All the while the soil remains untouched.

Meaning farmers can increase their yield and help save the planet at the same time.
