Maintaining healthy muscles can help keep our weight, blood-sugar and cholesterol levels in check.
But what about those who are unable to exercise because of injury, disease or old age?
A team of researchers from the National University of Singapore has discovered the existence of a protein existing in muscles which can be used to stimulate growth when subjected to pulsed magnetic fields.
The team’s experiments seem to confirm that there is a link between muscles and natural magnetism. The magnetic field used was stronger than Earth’s magnetic field but far weaker than over-the-counter bar magnets.
Observations suggest a weekly ten minute session could work wonders.
A force to be reckoned with!
