3D printing can deliver adaptors for handheld toothbrushes and bespoke prosthetic limbs.
Now, a London-based startup has come up with a new concept, developing a special sleeve for those with below-elbow limb differences.
Once the soft, lightweight sleeve is attached, different adapters can be fitted to it. Enabling those who rely on prosthetics to undertake a range of activities.
Whether it’s playing hockey or tennis, strumming a guitar or holding silverware and household tools. There are even sleeves for toddlers.
New partnerships with local clinics around the world would mean the sleeves can be fitted quickly and easily, and user feedback is taken into account for adapter design.
Meanwhile, a different app is helping those with disabilities to train.
